Vacuum Suction Blasting – Efficient and Emission-Free Surface Treatment

Traditional compressed air blasting for surface cleaning or coating removal often requires large blasting chambers or time-consuming temporary containment systems. With compact and mobile vacuum suction blasting technology, these processes become significantly easier, cleaner, and more flexible – ideal for on-site applications and sensitive work environments.

Whether preparing surfaces for bonding, painting, coating, or repair, vacuum blasting enables precise, dust-free treatment. A powerful industrial vacuum generates negative pressure within the blasting head, accelerating the blasting media directly onto the surface while simultaneously extracting it. This creates a closed-loop, dust-free system that protects health, the workspace, and the component being treated.

Applications:

- Replacement for traditional compressed air blasting
- Alternative to manual sanding
- Integration into automated blasting systems
- Ideal for localized surface treatment without disassembly

With vacuum suction blasting, professional users benefit from an efficient, mobile, and eco-friendly solution for surface preparation – with no need for extensive containment or protective measures.

Workflow for the mobile vacuum suction blasting process

The mobile vacuum suction blasting process enables precise, efficient, and dust-free surface treatment – ideal for industrial applications where cleanliness and process reliability are top priorities.

After switching on the system, the blasting hood (6) is placed directly onto the surface (8), where it adheres securely thanks to the vacuum. By inserting the blasting lance (7) into the blasting hood, the closed blasting circuit is established.

From the storage hopper (1), the abrasive media (2) flows by gravity through the metering unit (3) into the air stream (4). Due to the generated negative pressure, it is transported via the flexible suction hose (5) to the blasting hood and accelerated in a targeted manner through the blasting lance onto the surface.

Through controlled movements of the blasting lance, surfaces are quickly and emission-free stripped, roughened, or cleaned. The entire process can be precisely monitored through the three viewing windows (12) – ensuring maximum process control.

Immediately after impact, the abrasive media and the loosened particles are conveyed through the extraction hose (9) into the upper section of the machine. There, the cyclone principle cleanly separates reusable abrasive media from waste:

- Dirt particles are reliably captured in the fine dust filter (10).
- The abrasive media falls into the middle container and can be reused directly.

For refilling, the operator opens the flap on the middle container, allowing the abrasive media to flow back into the storage hopper (1). Coarse residues remain on the screen (14). The blasting process then begins again – without interruption and without extensive cleaning of the work environment.

With vacuum suction blasting, users benefit from a clean, mobile, and resource-efficient alternative to conventional compressed air blasting – perfect for use in sensitive areas and wherever the highest surface quality standards are required.

Tornado ACS – Professional Surface Cleaning Without Chemicals or High Pressure

Whether you're cleaning building facades outdoors or restoring surfaces after fire damage indoors, the Tornado ACS cleaning system can bring almost any surface back to like-new condition.

With a cleaning performance of 3–4 m² per hour, you can work efficiently and with minimal physical effort – all while maintaining a low noise level. The process is dust-free, environmentally friendly, and requires no water or chemical cleaning agents.

Advantages for Indoor and Outdoor Use

- No protective clothing needed for indoor cleaning
- No need for barriers or closures in public areas (e.g. street-facing facades)
- Residue-free removal of dirt, soot, paint, and surface buildup
- Suitable for brick, concrete, plaster, granite, tile, and many other surfaces

Clean, Safe, Sustainable

With Tornado ACS, you clean without emissions or environmental impact. Even sensitive areas can be cleaned safely, as no blasting media or liquids are released into the surroundings.
