Vacuum Blasting Instead of High-Pressure Blasting

Vacuum Blasting – Dust-Free and Eco-Friendly Surface Treatment
Traditional abrasive blasting with compressed air for surface cleaning or coating removal typically requires large blast chambers or complex protective equipment.
Vacuum blasting offers a significantly simpler, safer, and more environmentally friendly alternative – ideal for surface preparation before bonding, painting, coating, or repairs.
In vacuum blasting, a powerful extraction unit creates negative pressure inside a sealed blasting head. This vacuum accelerates the abrasive media directly onto the surface and immediately extracts it after impact.
The result: surface treatment that is dust-free, emission-free, and does not affect the surrounding environment.
Applications of Vacuum Blasting
- Effective alternative to traditional abrasive blasting
- Replacement for manual grinding or sanding
- Easy integration into automated blasting processes
- Ideal for precise, localized surface treatment
The Benefits of Vacuum Blasting
Vacuum blasting provides professional users with a compact, mobile, and resource-efficient solution for surface treatment – suitable for both sensitive indoor areas and industrial environments.
No dust, no chemicals, no elaborate safety precautions required.
Functionality of Vacuum Blasting Systems
How Vacuum Blasting Works – Dust-Free and Efficient Surface Preparation
Vacuum blasting technology enables precise, clean, and controlled surface treatment – ideal for industrial applications where quality, safety, and environmental protection are top priorities.
Step-by-Step Operation of the Vacuum Blasting System
After switching on the system, the blast hood (6) is placed directly onto the surface to be treated (8), where it is securely held in place by vacuum suction. Inserting the blast lance (7) into the hood completes the sealed blasting circuit.
The abrasive media (2) is gravity-fed from the storage container (1) via a dosing unit (3) into the air stream (4). The vacuum pressure draws the media through a flexible suction hose (5) into the blast hood, where it is accelerated by the blast lance directly onto the surface.
With controlled movements of the blast lance, surfaces are quickly and efficiently stripped, roughened, or cleaned – completely dust-free and emission-free. The process can be continuously monitored and precisely controlled through three integrated viewing windows (12), ensuring maximum process reliability.
Closed-Loop System for Clean, Continuous Operation
Immediately after impact, both abrasive media and removed particles are extracted. The mixture is transported via the extraction hose (9) into the upper section of the machine, where it is separated using the cyclone principle:
- Fine dust is captured reliably in the fine dust filter (10)
- Reusable abrasive media is collected in the central container
To refill the blasting system, simply open the flap on the central container, allowing the media to flow back into the main reservoir (1). Coarser debris remains on the sieve (14). The system is then ready to restart – without downtime and without the need for extensive cleanup.
Eco-Friendly and Mobile Blasting Alternative
With this fully enclosed vacuum blasting technology, companies benefit from a resource-efficient, mobile, and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional abrasive blasting – perfect for sensitive environments and when maximum surface quality is required.
